Influencers opine iOS 15 will help Apple retain customers, reveals GlobalData

Apple Inc. (Apple) witnessed a dramatic jump of 100% in influencer conversations on Twitter during the second week of June 2021 over the previous week, following the official announcement of its next generation operating system iOS 15 during Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC), reveals GlobalData, a leading data and analytics company.

iOS, iPad and health emerged as the most mentioned trends among influencer discussions on GlobalData’s influencer activity tracker on Apple during the second week of June. The discussions related to iOS were largely driven by launch of iOS 15 and its new features for iPhone and iPad. The health app on iPhone and Apple watch will be updated with improved health trend analysis, where it will be easier for sharing health information, with the rollout of iOS 15 and WatchOS8 in September.

Smitarani Tripathy, Influencer Analyst at GlobalData, comments: “The influencers’ sentiment were mostly positive on iOS 15. They also admired the new features of FaceTime and Health app, which will not only enhance day to day life but also change the experience of iPhone users. Influencers are seeing the new software update as a trait to keep its customers affixed to its products.”
