GlobalData's Foodservice: Supplier Solution provides foodservice product volumes and values (in operator buying prices) by channel and category. GlobalData provides a comprehensive set of internationally comparable foodservice data of any provider. We offer a broad set of market measures, including detailed channel splits. This data set specifically provides additional information on how products supplied into foodservice are distributed by over 60 different foodservice channels.
Building upon our base methodology approach, our foodservice data also makes use of six further areas of specific research to build out the data.
First, consumer research into out-of-home consumption behaviors is conducting, including on-the-go locations and behaviors. Next, interviews with foodservice operators are conducted to identify further channel specific information. The views of Key Opinion Leaders are then sought, to help establish the overall direction of future trends on a country channel basis. Next, on-the-ground local research is conducted into the state and development of the foodservice industry, looking at factors such as license grants. Fifth, cost-sector research helps to establish trends withing those channels and finally menu trends are studied to understand shifting product demand patterns. These inputs are cleaned, cross-referenced and put into our modelling algorithm to produce our final results.
