Inscopix’s new cloud-based platform for neurotherapeutics contributes towards what will be a $4.4 billion cloud services market, says GlobalData

Following the news that US-based neuroscience company Inscopix has announced the launch of a cloud-based platform;

Kamilla Kan, Medical Analyst at GlobalData, a leading data and analytics company, offers her view:

“Inscopix’s IDEAS platform is able to manage big data systems in a secure way and help scientists analyze, store and share datasets. Cloud-based technologies like this provide multiple benefits, from cost-reduction to increased scope for medical research. GlobalData notes that the global market revenue for cloud services in medical devices was worth $2 billion in 2021 and is expected to grow to $4.4 billion by 2024, at an impressive compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 17.1%.

“Cloud-based technologies also boost the scope and impact artificial intelligence (AI) has on large datasets. IDEAS employs AI to reduce time for data analytics, synchronizing changes and results among different researchers. However, while the global healthcare industry is embracing cloud-based technologies, the number of cyberattacks in the healthcare industry continues to grow.”
