Following the release of Q2 results by India-based multinational information technology company Infosys;

“Infosys must continue to grow its deal pipeline and reinforce its dominance in key IT services themes like cloud, robotic process automation (RPA), artificial intelligence (AI), and the future of work.

“The future of work theme is crucial for Infosys, both in-house and for its value propositions. Its internal approach to hybrid working and HR initiatives for career progression are the steps in the right direction. However, it must focus on building employee-friendly working arrangements. Following reports of an alleged ‘culture of bias’, Infosys must improve its employment practices.

“Infosys must capitalize on how the future of work is shaping the interaction between humans and technology. It should continue to offer system integration of technologies like cloud, automation, AI, and eventually the metaverse to ensure the coexistence of the digital and physical workplace.

“The company’s new president will need the same fierce appetite for the metaverse as the outgoing Ravi Kumar. The metaverse buzz will likely subside in the short-term as clients cut discretionary spending and the theme continues to develop. However, the metaverse will be a key service differentiator as inflation stabilizes and the enabling technologies mature. Infosys will ensure long-term success if it emphasizes fast turnaround times for metaverse client projects.”
