In Q3 2019, a total of 38 oil and gas discoveries were made globally. Of these, 21 were conventional oil discoveries while 15 were conventional gas. Heavy oil and CBM accounted for the remaining with one discovery each. Among regions, South America and Europe led with eight discoveries each, followed by Asia and Africa with five discoveries each in the quarter. Among countries, Norway had the highest number of discoveries globally with six, followed by Colombia with five discoveries.
