GlobalData surveyed 184 project owners, contractors and sub-contractors in the frouth quarter of 2015 to better understand better the key factors in the choice of contractors and sub-contractors, and also how well they have performed.

The results of this survey, as presented in this report, show that global project owners have 'work on time', 'quality of work' and 'delay resolution' as the top three factors in choosing a main contractor. These three top choices did not differ significantly depending on the region of the respondent, with Europe, Asia-Pacific and the Rest of the World having all the three as the top choices.

Only in North America was safety chosen as the top preference, above these three choices.
