In Q2 2016, a total of five long-term LNG contracts were signed. Of these, the biggest contract was signed between Ras Laffan Liquefied Natural Gas Company Limited (III) and EDF Group for supply of 2 mtpa of LNG for about 20 years. As per the contract, LNG will be imported from the Ras Laffan III terminal in Qatar to the Dunkirk terminal in France. Itochu Corporation and Toho Gas Co Ltd also signed contracts for import of 1.5 mtpa and 0.2 mtpa of LNG respectively to Japan. Global Energy Holding Company and Guangzhou Gas Company were the other companies to sign contracts in the quarter.
