Tocilizumab in Metastatic Hepatocellular Carcinoma (HCC) Drug Details:
Tocilizumab (Actemra / Roactemra) is a humanized monoclonal antibody, acts as immunosupressant preparation. It is formulated as injectable solution and solution concentrate for intravenous, intravenous drip or subcutaneous route of administration. Actemra is indicated for the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis in adult patients with moderately to severely active rheumatoid arthritis who have had an inadequate response to one or more disease modifying anti-rheumatic drugs via intravenous and subcutaneous route. Tocilizumab intravenous route is indicated for the treatment of polyarticular juvenile idiopathic arthritis (PJIA) and systemic juvenile idiopathic arthritis in patients of 2 years age and older. Roactemra, in combination with methotrexate (MTX), is indicated for the treatment of severe, active and progressive rheumatoid arthritis (RA) in adults not previously treated with MTX. It is also indicated to treat adults with temporal arteritis, takayasu arteritis, and vasculitis, for the treatment of cytokine release syndrome induced by tumor-specific T cell infusion therapy. Actemra (tocilizumab) is used as emergency treatment for coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in hospitalized adults and pediatric patients (2 years of age and older) who are receiving systemic corticosteroids and require supplemental oxygen, non-invasive or invasive mechanical ventilation, or extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO). Actemra is indicated for the treatment of pneumonia caused by SARS-CoV-2The drug candidate is under development for the treatment of follicular lymphoma, metastatic hepatocellular carcinoma, non-small cell lung cancer, systemic sclerosis large-vessel vasculitis, giant cell arteritis, polymyalgia rheumatica, Behcet’s Uveitis, granulomatosis with polyangiitis, Schnitzler syndrome, pain, familial mediterranean fever, multiple myeloma (kahler disease) and diffuse large b-cell lymphoma. It is also under development for COVID-19 pneumonia and in hospitalized adult patients with severe COVID-19, sepsis and septic shock. It was also under development for the treatment of idiopathic retroperitoneal fibrosis, pulmonary arterial hypertension, Grave’s orbitopathy or thyroid eye disease, ankylosing spondylitis, giant lymph node hyperplasia and metastatic pancreatic cancer, polymyositis, dermatomyositis, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis and B-Cell Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia.
Report Coverage
The data is segmented by drug name per indication and shows the current likelihood of approval for the drug compared to the indication benchmark and the industry benchmark.
The Likelihood of Approval data is updated regularly based on events that take place which impact the clinical development process and regulatory considerations. GlobalData’s proprietary machine learning models consider these events in real time, to produce quantitative changes to the LOA and PTSR along with qualitative reasoning why the likelihood of approval has changed.
