Mr. Helge Lund has been the Chairman of BP since January 2019. Prior to joining the company, he worked as Director of Schlumberger from 2016 to 2018 and Nokia from 2011 to 2014. Prior to this, he served as Chief Executive of BG Group from 2015 to 2016. He worked as President and Chief Executive Officer of Statoil for 10 years from 2004; President and Chief Executive Officer of Aker Kvaerner; and Executive positions in Aker RGI. He has also worked as a Consultant with McKinsey & Company. Mr. Lund also works as Chairman of Novo Nordisk AS.

Mr. Murray Auchincloss has been the Chief Executive Officer and Director of the company since 2024. Previously, he served as the Interim Chief Executive Officer and Chief Financial Officer of the company. Prior to this, he worked as commercial director for the North American Gas business and head of the chief executive’s office for three years. He worked in the US and UK, as the Chief Financial Officer, Upstream and North Sea. Prior to this, he served as a chartered financial analyst in the US for Amoco and BP after the two organizations merged in 1998.

Ms. Kate Thomson has been the Chief Financial Officer and Director of the company since February 2024. Previously, she served as Interim Chief Financial Officer of the company since September 2023. Previously, she served as Senior Vice President of Finance for the production & operations of the company.
