Brewer – helping a brewer to diversify its product portfolio

To provide a UK brewery with an assessment of which beverage categories it should enter, in order to help it expand its portfolio beyond beer and cider. The approach followed allowed for GlobalData to provide the client with a deep dive into size-of-prize opportunities in five key categories across a number of geographic regions.

Our Solution

The GlobalData team undertook a comprehensive programme of research to help the client understand where it should play based on consumer surveys and key-stakeholder interviews, as well as undertaking in-depth analysis of profit pools and supply chain dynamics across countries and categories. This allowed for a comprehensive market success model to be created.

Outcome

The client has already announced one strategic partnership to launch a range of hard seltzers. All the remaining report recommendations are now in the process of being developed by the client – with further products expected to be launched soon.
