The market value of the global beer industry has steadily been growing since 2017 but posted a sharp decline in 2020. 

A-B InBev, Heineken NV, Molson Coors, Carlsberg Group, and Asahi Group held the top five leading market positions in the global beer industry in 2020. Heineken, Budweiser, Bud Light, and Corona were the leading brands in the beer industry.  

Beer is a fermented alcoholic beverage that is typically, but not exclusively, made from malt to which hops have been added. 

A-B InBev leads the global beer industry in 2020  

A-B InBev was the leading company in the global beer market (by value) in 2020, with more than 250 brands under its trademark. Budweiser brand was the biggest contributor to the company’s global beer sales. Bud Light, Corona, Skol, and Stella Artois are some of the other major beer brands offered under A-B InBev. 

Heineken NV ranked second in the global beer industry 

Heineken NV was the second-largest company in the global beer market in 2020. Heineken, Tecate, Amstel, Tiger, and Dos Equis were among some of the key brands tending the global beer needs under Heineken NV, with a bigger chunk of the beer items sale (by value) coming from its flagship brand Heineken. 

The other leading market positions in the global beer market were held by Molson Coors, Carlsberg Group, and Asahi Group. 

Molson Coors, Carlsberg Group, and Asahi Group were some of the other prominent companies in the global beer market, owning brands such as Coors, Carlsberg, and Asahi.
