MatrixCare partners Health Gorilla for secure health data exchange
The tie-up involves integration of clinical data into MatrixCare's EHR, improving care coordination and administrative process.
MatrixCare, a post-acute care technology provider, has partnered with Health Gorilla, a secure health data-sharing network and platform, to improve patient data access.
This collaboration involves access, exchange and integration of clinical data into MatrixCare's electronic health record (EHR) platform, thereby improving care coordination and streamlining administrative processes.
This move is expected to benefit MatrixCare, as medical providers require an efficient and secure method of electronically exchanging patient data.
By joining Health Gorilla's national network, MatrixCare providers will further gain actionable insights into patients' medical histories.
This will empower the healthcare providers to make informed treatment decisions, improve administrative processes, and enhance care coordination.
Additionally, the collaboration will allow MatrixCare to access comprehensive clinical data and facilitate bi-directional data exchanges across Health Gorilla’s national network.
According to Health Gorilla, leveraging its federally designated Qualified Health Information Network (QHIN), MatrixCare becomes the first post-acute EHR to engage in the Trusted Exchange Framework and Common Agreement (TEFCA) transactions.
This connectivity provides access to a vast network that includes more than 220 million patients, over 147 thousand care sites and 750,000 clinicians located across the US.
MatrixCare Facilities general manager Bharat Monteiro said: “As we press forward with innovation, interoperability stands as the bedrock of our solutions.
“Our collaboration with Health Gorilla empowers us to expedite our customers’ enhancement of operational efficiency, enabling them to deliver unparalleled patient care.”
Following the inclusion of Health Gorilla, MatrixCare has expanded its partner ecosystem to include more than 15,000 partners.
Health Gorilla CEO and co-founder Steve Yaskin added: “MatrixCare has a long history of providing cutting-edge solutions to the post-acute and home health markets, and its commitment to enhancing interoperability and improving patient outcomes aligns perfectly with our mission at Health Gorilla.
“Together, we look forward to revolutionising how health information is exchanged and accessed, ultimately benefiting patients and providers alike.”
In March 2024, Health Gorilla partnered with population health management platform The Garage to enhance the latter’s Clinical Informatics capabilities.
