Camden London Borough Council (London Borough of Camden) (CLBC) is undertaking the redevelopment of a housing community in London, the UK.The project involves the construction of 294 homes.The project includes the demolition of a District Housing Office, commercial units, residential units and the construction of residential units, three retail units, parking facilities and other related infrastructure.The project will be implemented in three phases.The first phase involves the demolition of the existing District Housing Office and commercial units on Vicars Road and the construction of 67 homes.The second phase involves the demolition of existing residential buildings and the construction of 140 homes.The third phase involves the construction of 87 homes.JS Wright has been appointed as a design consultant for the first phase.Rydon Group Ltd has been appointed as general contractor for the project. The scope includes the demolishing and construction works.Rolton Group as the engineering consultant, Quod as the planning consultant, Camlins as the landscape architect, Arcadis as the project manager.On August 2011, Karakusevic Carson Architects appointed as study consultant.On May 14, 2012, Karakusevic Carson Architects appointed as design contractor.In September 2012, the project received planning approval from Camden Town Council (CTC).In December 2012, London Borough of Camden invited bids for the Bacton Low Rise estate.In August 2013, demolition works commenced.In the fourth quarter of 2013, construction works commenced.In December 2015, construction works on phase one 67 homes completed.Construction activities are underway on phase two and three with scheduled completion in 2017.
