The City of Sisak (CoS) and Sisacki Vodovod, d.o.o. (SWC) a joint venture is undertaking the upgrade of sewage network in Sisak, Croatia.The project will be implemented by Hrvatske Vode (HV), a state agency responsible for water management.The project involves the construction of an integrated sewage network with two river crossings underneath the Kupa River with a length of 305m and 227m, including two end shafts for each crossing, an 8.6km sewerage network, three retention basins, four pumping stations, a wastewater treatment plant with a capacity of 60,000 population equivalent (PE) and related facilities.The project is being funded by Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance (IPA). The contribution from IPA is US$29 million, a loan from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development is US$12 million and US$2 million in national contributions.On March 5, 2013, a series of working meetings were held.On March 18, 2013, the project and construction-site supervision services contract was awarded to Eptisa Servicios de Ingeniería, S.L.On May 25, 2013, Tehnika d.d. was appointed as the main contractor for the construction of wastewater treatment plant (WTP).On June 28, 2013, HV issued tenders for the construction of two river crossings (TRC) with September 9, 2013 as the submission deadline.On July 17, 2013, a clarification meeting and the site visit program held for the interested parties were enabled to visit the future construction sites.On August 30, 2013, Koncar Inzenjering za energetiku i transport d.d. was appointed as main contractor for waste water collection system (WWCS).On November 27, 2013, Braco Kop d.o.o. was appointed as EPC contractor for two river crossings component.On April 8, 2015, the Board of Directors approved a loan of US$10 million to upgrade and extend the water and waste water network, together with the construction of a new waste water treatment plant.Construction works are underway.
