MOID – Al Hayl National Housing Development: Phase 1 – UAE
The Minister of Infrastructure Development (MoID) formerly known as UAE Ministry of Public Works, is undertaking the construction of a residential community in Al Hayl, Fujairah, the UAE.The project involves the construction of a 430,000m2 residential community comprising 1,100 villas on 215ha of land. It includes construction of schools, mosques, clinics, parks, shopping malls and a community center, and installation of safety and security systems.The residential section will comprise of 300 five-room villas, 700 four-room villas, and 100 villas for widows or small families.Trinity Engineering Services LLC & Emirates Falcon Electromechanical Co have been appointed as the MEP contractor for the project, Trinity Engineering Services LLC to undertake MEP work for 552 villas and Emirates Falcon Electromechanical Co to undertake MEP work for 548 villas.Time Electro & Contracting Co.W.L.L has been appointed as the electrical contractor.In October 2015, MoID issued tender for the main contractor. Subsequently, Habtoor Leighton Group,United Engineering Construction and China State Construction International Holdings, Construction & Reconstruction Engineering Co. along with other firms has submitted bids.In March 2016, Arabtec Construction was appointed to undertake the construction works with a contract value of US$462 million.In July 2016, construction works commenced.On May 17, 2017, Abu Dhabi Maintenance & Construction Co was appointed as sub-contractor.Construction works are underway with completion scheduled by the third quarter of 2019.
