Our comprehensive database of granular sportswear brand data covers 85+ apparel brands across 48 markets. We cover total sales for the brands across each country, split into 22 granular product categories and 3 sportswear types (sports-inspired casualwear, activewear, technical sportswear).
We collect brand sales from company annual reports, company accounts, and direct contact with them, and use product and price audits from retailers’ websites to get category splits. We also use store numbers, typical sales densities and space to estimate typical sales by brands by country. These sales, including wholesale (with markups), are annualized by calendar year (as companies have different financial year ends), and the relevant sales tax is added to get consumer expenditure by brand. We use market expertise to model based on market benchmarks where necessary.
