Swiss Re has been moving its traditional IT infrastructure to cloud infrastructure using the Microsoft Azure platform. It has moved its financial systems to the SAP platform and is pushing them onto the cloud improve performance, optimize costs, and enhance flexibility. Swiss Re has entered strategic alliance with Microsoft to build a new marketplace for curated digital intelligence on Microsoft’s Azure cloud platform. Swiss Re has automated more than 90% of its infrastructure build and implemented several automation use cases, including scheduled start/stop, SAP Auto scaling, virtual machine (VM) hardening and patch automation, and Azure monitoring. Swiss Re also partnered with TCS to help build a social and open digital workspace leveraging Microsoft cloud technologies, to drive greater collaboration and innovation.
