Nordea Private Banking – Financial Performance
Nordea Group’s operating revenue jumped in 2023 because of the rising interest rates negatively impacted French retail, private banking, and insurance. Personal Banking revenues recorded the highest increase in business segments. This was driven by several factors: improved deposit margins linked to higher policy rates in all markets, and higher net interest income. The improved deposit margins across the Nordic markets also benefitted net interest income. Nordea’s operating revenues increased in Q1 2024 over Q4 2023, mostly due to a better net insurance result, fewer claims from Danish insurance products, and better performance for guaranteed life insurance products than in the prior quarter.
