Wilms’ Tumor also known as Nephroblastoma is a type of cancer in one kidney commonly seen in children and is the most common cancer in children around 3-5 years of age and rarely observed in adults. Although the exact cause is idiopathic genetic alterations in WT1, CTNNB1, and WTX, TP53 and MYNC are believed to cause this. Tumor originates from the persistent metanephric tissue or nephrogenic rests and progresses during childhood. Physical examination by pressing carefully on the abdomen, laboratory tests of blood and urine, radiographic findings MRI, CT scan of abdomen. Surgical procedure is nephrectomy (removal of kidney) and systemic chemotherapy with vincristine and dactinomycin, doxorubicin, cyclophosphamide, etoposide, and carboplatin.
