Elon Musk, the co-founder and CEO of Tesla, has emerged as the top CEO in the list of top 50 CEOs based on Global Score and average reactions per post on Twitter during the fourth quarter (Q4) of 2021, reveals the Social Media Analytics Platform of GlobalData, a leading data and analytics company.

Global Score is the measure of the influence of a Twitter contributor, which is calculated using average engagements received on content shared, number of followers, and number of times other influencers have referred him/her in their shared content. Average reactions per post is calculated as total engagements (sum of total likes and total retweets) / total posts shared during the period.

GlobalData’s latest influencer report, ‘Top 50 CEOs on Twitter’, reveals that majority of top CEOs belong to the tech industry, and consequently the most discussed trends were ‘Metaverse’, ‘Decentralization’, ‘Cryptocurrency’, and ’Cloud security’ during Q4 2021.

Smitarani Tripathy, Social Media Analyst at GlobalData, comments: “The CEOs believed the decentralized digital infrastructure will enable better cloud security, as several industries have come forward to adopt metaverse as the future of the business. Inflation was another key topic for discussions among most of the CEOs, as the US is likely to increase the interest rate to curb the rising inflation.”
