Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher and White & Case were the top mergers and acquisitions (M&A) legal advisers in the Middle East & African region during the first three quarters (Q1-Q3) of 2025 by value and volume, respectively, according to the latest legal advisers league table by GlobalData, a leading data and analytics company.
An analysis of GlobalData’s Financial Deals Database reveals that Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher achieved its leading position in terms of value by advising on $57.2 billion worth of deals. Meanwhile, White & Case led in terms of volume by advising on a total of 14 deals.
Aurojyoti Bose, Lead Analyst at GlobalData, comments: “White & Case was the only adviser to hit double-digit deal volume during Q1-Q3 2025. Apart from leading by volume, it also occupied the fifth position by value during the review period.
“Meanwhile, Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher, despite advising on relatively fewer number of deals, managed to top the chart by value. It is noteworthy that two of the four deals advised by Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher during Q1-Q3 2025 were billion-dollar deals* that also included a mega deal valued more than $50 billion. Involvement in these big-ticket deals helped it occupy the top spot by value.”

Kirkland & Ellis occupied the second position in terms of value, by advising on $55.8 billion worth of deals, followed by Latham & Watkins with $27.9 billion, Meitar Law Offices with $27.6 billion, and White & Case with $6.5 billion.
Meanwhile, Dentons occupied the second position in terms of volume with eight deals, followed by Baker McKenzie with eight deals, Latham & Watkins with six deals, and DLA Piper with five deals.
