Goldman Sachs and JPMorgan were the top mergers and acquisitions (M&A) financial advisers in the construction sector during 2025 by value and volume, respectively, according to the latest financial advisers league table by GlobalData, a leading intelligence and productivity platform.

GlobalData’s Financial Deals Database has revealed that Goldman Sachs achieved the leading position in terms of value by advising on $43.3 billion worth of deals. Meanwhile, JPMorgan led in terms of volume by advising on a total of 19 deals.

Aurojyoti Bose, Lead Analyst at GlobalData, comments: “Both JPMorgan and Goldman Sachs experienced close to a three-fold increase in the total volume and value of deals advised by them in 2025 compared to the previous year, respectively. Resultantly, the firms witnessed improvement in their rankings. While Goldman Sachs moved from sixth by value in 2024 to top the chart by this metric in 2025, JPMorgan’s ranking by volume jumped from 22nd to the top position. JPMorgan also held the third position by value in 2025, while Goldman Sachs occupied the third position by volume.”

An analysis of GlobalData’s Financial Deals Database reveals that Bank of America occupied the second position in terms of value, by advising on $41.9 billion worth of deals, followed by JPMorgan with $35.5 billion, Morgan Stanley with $28.3 billion, and Mizuho Financial Group with $24.4 billion.

Bank of America also occupied the second position in terms of volume with 16 deals, followed by Goldman Sachs with 15 deals, Morgan Stanley with 15 deals and Houlihan Lokey with 15 deals.
