Anthropic dominated influencers’ conversations on ‘X’ during mid-April 2026, following the launch of Claude Design, a conversational tool powered by the new Claude Opus 4.7 model that allows users to generate high-fidelity prototypes, websites, and pitch decks through plain-language prompts. The launch gained massive traction because the tool can look at a company’s existing code and design files to learn their specific brand style. By removing the need for a separate design subscription for simple tasks, the release directly challenges the necessity of traditional software and even caused a drop in the market value of major players like Figma, says GlobalData, a leading intelligence and productivity platform.

Shreyasee Majumder, Social Media Analyst at GlobalData, comments: “Influencers are split between excitement over the speed of shipping products and frustration with the platform’s current technical limitations. Many early adopters are finding it to be a massive shortcut for building functional prototypes and sales decks in minutes, allowing people without design backgrounds to produce professional-looking work without waiting on a creative team.

“However, others warn that the tool often generates generic-looking layouts and can occasionally lose user progress or take longer to fix than simply doing the work manually in a familiar app. The prevailing sentiment is that while this might not replace high-level creative professionals, it shifts design from a manual craft into an automated background process that connects directly to the coding stage.”

Below are a few popular influencer opinions captured by GlobalData’s Social Media Analytics Platform:

  1. Kim, Technology Expert:

“Anthropic released Claude design, direct attack on figma and lovable. Anthropic just shipped Claude Design, powered by Claude Opus 4.7., a tool that turns conversations into polished prototypes, pitch decks, and marketing assets. It auto-applies your brand system, lets you refine with inline edits and sliders, and hands off directly to Claude Code for implementation. Need to test it. After opus 4.7 I became more cautious with their releases.”

“Did you see “Claude Design”?  TOTAL DISRUPTION…  Canva and Figma are freaking out… As will ALL other verticals.  The LLM companies will disrupt every specialized vertical use case in order to maximize their revenue, to build out their data centers and close their business case. Fireworks are just beginning!”

“Really liking Claude Design so far. Except for the fact that it just wiped out my project after burning 10% of my usage. “The files appear to be gone”

“Claude Design just launched, and Figma lost 4.26% in 1 day. History is unfolding right in front of us. Anthropic launched Claude Design this morning, a tool that allows anyone to describe what they want and get back a complete website, landing page, or presentation. No design experience needed and no Figma subscription. Just… talk to it….”

“Claude Design is LEGIT when it comes to prototyping or redesigning. On the left, it pulled one of our Github repos and made a coherent agent manager – something I’d actually use. On the right, it gave a first draft of a redesign of the Single Brain unified intelligence website. It also pumped out slides for a keynote I’m doing next week. It’s also great for YT thumbnails if you need to get something out fast. To be able to do 85-90% of the concepting is a velocity multiplier for companies. Conversion rates rise. Retention rates rise. Customer lifetime values rise. What a gift.”

“Mind-blown. Claude Design allows one to build complex interfaces that front complex ontologies in a flash!    Having a well-defined domain model that drives the design yields an unfair speed advantage.  This accelerates any QPT-derived model!  Palantir is going to be challenged.”

“I got very excited when I read about @Claude Design. I tried to use it to create a simple report cover. After 3 hours, I was still tweaking. I finally gave up. I then used Keynote (a tool I know well) and created the report cover in 30 minutes. AI is not always the easiest or the quickest tool for the job.  Don’t believe the hype.”
