Mitsubishi UFJ Financial was the top mergers and acquisitions (M&A) financial adviser in the Asia-Pacific region during the first half (H1) of 2026 in terms of both value and volume, according to the latest financial advisers league table by  GlobalData, which ranks financial advisers by the value and volume of M&A deals on which they advised.

Based on its Financial Deals Database, the leading intelligence and productivity platform has revealed that Mitsubishi UFJ Financial achieved the top position by advising on 23 deals worth $40 billion.

Aurojyoti Bose, Lead Analyst at GlobalData, comments: “Mitsubishi UFJ Financial registered a significant improvement in the total volume and value of deals advised by it in H1 2026 compared to H1 2025. Resultantly, its ranking by volume jumped from the 16th position in H1 2025 to the top position in H1 2026, and its ranking by value rose from the third position to the top position. During H1 2026, Mitsubishi UFJ Financial advised on four billion-dollar deals* that also included a mega deal valued more than $10 billion. Involvement in these big-ticket deals helped it register a massive jump in terms of value.”

An analysis of GlobalData’s Deals Database reveals that Morgan Stanley occupied the second position in terms of value, by advising on $17.6 billion worth of deals, followed by JPMorgan with $13.2 billion, Jefferies with $12.6 billion, and UBS with $12.1 billion.

Meanwhile, Morgan Stanley occupied the second position in terms of volume with 17 deals, followed by Diligent Capital with 11 deals, Deloitte with nine deals, and UBS with seven deals.
