Morgan Stanley was the top mergers and acquisitions (M&A) financial adviser in the Asia-Pacific region during 2025 by both value and volume, according to the latest financial advisers league table by GlobalData, a leading intelligence and productivity platform.

GlobalData’s Financial Deals Database revealed that Morgan Stanley achieved this leading position by advising on 63 deals worth $59.2 billion.

Aurojyoti Bose, Lead Analyst at GlobalData, comments: “Morgan Stanley was well ahead of other advisers in terms of value as well as volume in 2025. In deal value rankings, it was distantly followed by Goldman Sachs that advised on $24.4 billion worth of deals. Similarly, in terms of volume, UBS stood at distant second with 36 deals.”

An analysis of GlobalData’s Deals Database reveals that UBS occupied the third position in terms of value, by advising on $21.2 billion worth of deals, followed by JPMorgan with $18.4 billion, and Citi with $16.3 billion.

Meanwhile, Nomura occupied the third position in terms of volume with 21 deals, followed by Ernst & Young with 21 deals, and Goldman Sachs with 20 deals.
