Rand Merchant Bank was the top mergers and acquisitions (M&A) financial adviser in the Middle East & African region during the first quarter (Q1) of 2024 by value and volume, according to the latest financial advisers league table by GlobalData, a leading data and analytics company.

An analysis of GlobalData’s Deals Database revealed that Rand Merchant Bank achieved the leading position having advised on three deals of worth $420.5 million.

Aurojyoti Bose, Lead Analyst at GlobalData, comments: “Rand Merchant Bank was the only adviser to surpass $100 million in total value during Q1 2024. Meanwhile, it also registered improvement in terms of deals volume as well as ranking by this metric in Q1 2024 compared to Q1 2023.”

Perella Weinberg Partners occupied the second position in terms of value, by advising on $95 million worth of deals, followed by PSG CAPITAL with $84 million, Clairfield International with $62 million and C.H. Stirling with $60 million.

Meanwhile, Clairfield International occupied the second position in terms of volume with three deals, followed by PwC with three deals, Rothschild & Co with three deals and PSG CAPITAL with two deals.
