Following the news that global technology company Thoughtworks Holding Inc’s plans to expand in Vietnam;
Sherla Sriprada, Business Fundamentals Analyst at GlobalData, a leading data and analytics company, offers her view on jobs creation:
“Thoughtworks has posted nearly 3,800 jobs during January 2021 to April 2022*. The upcoming facility in Vietnam is expected to post additional jobs. Thoughtworks is looking to hire talent with a focus on cloud platforms, digital transformation, artificial intelligence and customer experience. The company has posted around 200 jobs between January 2021 to April 2022* in the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region. GlobalData expects heightened hiring activity in the region in coming days.
“The Jobs Analytics database of GlobalData has identified roles based in United States but have immigration related role for Thailand and Vietnam. The company is also hiring for ‘Technical Recruiter’ to help setup its new Ho Chi Minh City office. Thoughtworks has posted around 150 jobs during the same period across diverse technology themes including cloud, artificial intelligence, digitalization and big data in the APAC region. The company expects an increase in service demand across Southeast Asia and Australia while contemplating recruitment of local talent. ESG also seems to be playing a role with the company hinting at hiring diverse talent.”
