TriLegal and Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas were the top mergers and acquisitions (M&A) legal advisers in the APAC region during the first quarter (Q1) of 2026 by value and volume, respectively, according to the latest legal advisers league table by GlobalData, which ranks legal advisers by the value and volume of M&A deals on which they advised.

Based on its Financial Deals Database, the leading intelligence and productivity platform revealed that TriLegal achieved its leading position in terms of value by advising on $7.6 billion worth of deals. Meanwhile, Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas led in terms of volume by advising on a total of 16 deals.

Aurojyoti Bose, Lead Analyst at GlobalData, comments: “TriLegal also gave close competition for the top position by volume, missing it by a whisker. It held the second position in volume rankings with 15 deals. Similarly, Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas, apart from occupying the top position by volume in Q1 2026, also held the fifth position in terms of value by advising on $5.7 billion worth of deals.”

An analysis of GlobalData’s Deals Database reveals that Vinson & Elkins occupied the second position in terms of value, by advising on $7.5 billion worth of deals, followed by Latham & Watkins with $6.3 billion, and Morrison & Foerster with $5.8 billion.

Meanwhile, AZB & Partners occupied the third position in terms of volume with 14 deals, followed by JSA Legal with eight deals, and Latham & Watkins with seven deals.
