AdventHealth has recently partnered with Biofourmis to launch the AdventHealth Hospital at Home program in Florida in the US, enabling inpatient-level care for patients in the comfort of their homes. This initiative leverages Biofourmis’ enterprise platform, which combines continuous monitoring, FDA-cleared AI algorithms, and remote clinical care teams to provide personalized, holistic care. The partnership marks a significant move towards expanding whole-person care at home in the US, according to GlobalData, a leading data and analytics company.

The partnership will initially roll out AdventHealth Hospital at Home program at AdventHealth Winter Park, Florida, and aims to expand AdventHealth’s care-at-home strategy while ensuring a seamless patient experience across hospital and post-acute settings.

Kamilla Kan, Senior Data Scientist, SKU Team at GlobalData, comments: “The partnership signifies a transformative shift in healthcare delivery, highlighting the growing adoption of AI-driven remote patient monitoring solutions to bridge gaps in traditional inpatient care. By enabling real-time health insights and proactive intervention, the program addresses critical challenges such as hospital capacity constraints, patient convenience, and healthcare cost efficiency.”

The integration of Biofourmis’ platform with AdventHealth’s Epic electronic health record (EHR) system represents a significant advancement in delivering acute care at home. This data integration ensures clinicians have real-time access to critical patient information, enabling efficient and informed decision-making. The platform’s advanced safety features, such as continuous monitoring, arrhythmia and fall detection, and a personal emergency response system, address key concerns around patient safety during in-home care.

Kan adds: “By combining technological sophistication with comprehensive patient monitoring, this initiative underscores the growing importance of digital health ecosystems in extending high-quality, hospital-level care into patients’ homes, ultimately enhancing both clinical outcomes and patient satisfaction.”

According to GlobalData forecasts, the Remote Patient Monitoring (RPM) market will reach $760 million by 2030, up from $548.9 million in 2020 with a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 3.3% over the period. The growth of the RPM market is being driven by several factors, including the increasing prevalence of chronic diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, and cardiovascular disorders, which require continuous monitoring. Additionally, advancements in wearable technologies, coupled with the growing adoption of telehealth services, have further propelled the demand for RPM solutions.

Kan continues: “As healthcare systems increasingly adopt advanced technologies, partnerships like AdventHealth and Biofourmis demonstrate how innovation can drive better patient outcomes, operational efficiencies, and an enhanced healthcare experience.”
