The German packaging volumes stood at 144 billion units in 2025, led by rigid plastics, which accounted for a 36.2% share of total sales. Packaging volumes will reach 147.6 billion units in 2030, with a CAGR of 0.5% during 2025–30. Rigid metal posted the best CAGR over 2020–25 at 4.3%, growing from 11.3 billion units in 2020 to reaching 14 billion units in 2025.
