Asciminib hydrochloride (Scemblix) is an antineoplastic agent that targets the ABL myristoyl pocket (STAMP). It is formulated as tablets, film coated tablets for oral route of administration. Scemblix is indicated for the treatment of adult patients with Philadelphia chromosome-positive chronic myeloid leukemia (Ph+ CML) in chronic phase (CP), previously treated with two or more tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKIs) and also for Ph+ CML in CP with the T315I mutation.ABL-001 (asciminib hydrochloride) is under development for the treatment of chronic myelocytic leukemia and Philadelphia chromosome positive acute lymphoblastic leukemia. The drug candidate is administered orally. It targets BCR-ABL tyrosine kinase.
