The number of active job postings in the Automotive sector of Canada increased by 4% MoM, and decreased by 5.14% since October 2023, reaching 2,545 active job postings in January 2024.
A total of 794 new jobs were posted in January 2024, witnessing an increase of 22.91% as compared to the previous month. On the other hand, 696 jobs were closed in the same month implying that companies took out 4.35% more jobs than the month earlier. For the period from October 2023 to January 2024, the number of new jobs posted decreased by 5.59% and the number of jobs closed decreased by 37.18%
In terms of Compound Monthly Growth Rate (CMGR) between October 2023 and January 2024, the number of new jobs posted observed a negative growth rate of 1.9%, the number of active job postings observed a negative growth rate of 1.74% and the number of jobs closed observed a negative growth rate of 14.36%. Between October 2023 and January 2024, the average number of jobs posted stood at 760, number of jobs closed stood at 861 and number of active jobs stood at 2,535.
