On November 8, 2022, Renault and Google announced that they will extend their collaboration in software services for the future Renault automobiles, with Google taking over as the French automaker’s primary cloud provider.
Renault’s “end-to-end digital transformation, from the design of the car to its market debut through its manufacture,” will be accelerated owing to its relationship with Google. The global market value of connected cars increased significantly to $36,347 million in 2022 from $32,646 million in 2021, according to GlobalData.
Future automobiles could be built into platforms akin to smartphones, with chargeable services and wireless key upgrades, according to automakers and technology companies such as Sony, Apple, and Google.
