Tesla, the EV manufacturer, produced 258,580 vehicles in Q2 2022, a decrease of nearly 15% as compared to the production of 305,407 vehicles in Q1 2022.
Tesla manufactures 4 different models of vehicles namely Model S, Model X, Model 3, and Model Y. In Q2 2022, Tesla produced a total of 16,411 vehicles of the Model S and Model X, during the same period Tesla also produced 242,169 vehicles of the Model 3 and Model Y. Vehicle production of Model S and X increased by 15% quarter-over-quarter, and production of Model 3 and Y decreased by 17% quarter-over-quarter, in Q2 2022. Tesla produced a total of 563,987 vehicles in the first half of 2022.
Tesla focused on increasing vehicle production and capacity, improving and developing battery technologies, improving FSD (full self-driving) capabilities, increasing the affordability & efficiency of vehicles, and expanding global infrastructure in the future days. The Fermont Factory is the primary manufacturing facility of Tesla, which produces all four models of Tesla vehicles. The other automotive manufacturing facilities (also known as Gigafactory) are in Texas, Shanghai, and Berlin.
Tesla’s Semi, Cybertruck, and the new Tesla Roadster are still in development and yet to enter the mass production phase.
