The number of active ESG related job postings in the Business and Consumer Services sector of Australia decreased by 14.34% MoM, and decreased by 17.6% since October 2023, reaching 866 active job postings in January 2024
A total of 881 new ESG related jobs were posted in January 2024, witnessing a decrease of 33.11% as compared to the previous month. On the other hand, 1,026 ESG related jobs were closed in the same month implying that companies took out 26.77% fewer jobs than the month earlier. For the period from October 2023 to January 2024, the number of new ESG related jobs posted decreased by 45.42% and the number of ESG related jobs closed decreased by 32.98%.
In terms of Compound Monthly Growth Rate (CMGR) between October 2023 and January 2024, the number of new ESG related jobs posted observed a negative growth rate of 18.27%, the number of active ESG related job postings observed a negative growth rate of 6.25% and the number of ESG related jobs closed observed a negative growth rate of 12.49%. Between October 2023 and January 2024, the average number of ESG related jobs posted stood at 1,297, number of ESG related jobs closed stood at 1,322 and number of active ESG related jobs stood at 1,005.
