The number of active ESG related job postings in the Business and Consumer Services sector of Canada increased by 3.5% MoM, and decreased by 3.11% since October 2023, reaching 1,713 active job postings in January 2024
A total of 774 new ESG related jobs were posted in January 2024, witnessing an increase of 17.99% as compared to the previous month. On the other hand, 716 ESG related jobs were closed in the same month implying that companies took out 14.35% fewer jobs than the month earlier. For the period from October 2023 to January 2024, the number of new ESG related jobs posted increased by 10.41% and the number of ESG related jobs closed increased by 4.99%.
In terms of Compound Monthly Growth Rate (CMGR) between October 2023 and January 2024, the number of new ESG related jobs posted observed a growth rate of 3.36%, the number of active ESG related job postings observed a negative growth rate of 1.05% and the number of ESG related jobs closed observed a growth rate of 1.63%. Between October 2023 and January 2024, the average number of ESG related jobs posted stood at 761, number of ESG related jobs closed stood at 770 and number of active ESG related jobs stood at 1,742.
