The number of active job postings in the Business and Consumer Services sector of Colombia decreased by 1.14% MoM, and decreased by 49.44% since October 2023, reaching 1,306 active job postings in January 2024.
A total of 375 new jobs were posted in January 2024, witnessing a decrease of 3.35% as compared to the previous month. On the other hand, 390 jobs were closed in the same month implying that companies took out 77.51% fewer jobs than the month earlier. For the period from October 2023 to January 2024, the number of new jobs posted decreased by 68.93% and the number of jobs closed decreased by 60.37%
In terms of Compound Monthly Growth Rate (CMGR) between October 2023 and January 2024, the number of new jobs posted observed a negative growth rate of 32.27%, the number of active job postings observed a negative growth rate of 20.33% and the number of jobs closed observed a negative growth rate of 26.54%. Between October 2023 and January 2024, the average number of jobs posted stood at 813, number of jobs closed stood at 1,077 and number of active jobs stood at 1,969.
