Europe: Five largest Debt Offering deals by value in the Business and Consumer Services sector (LTM June 2022)

  • A total of 79 Debt Offering deals (pending and completed) were announced in the Business and Consumer Services of the Europe region, in the last twelve months resulting in a total deal value of over $64,378.9 million. In the LTM period, January 2022 turned out to be the most prolific in terms of deal size, with a total deal value of $15,731.3 million, resulting in an average deal value of $1,430.1 million during that month. On the other hand, the month of June 2021 was the most prolific in terms of deal volume, recording a total of 14 deals, resulting in an average deal value of $355.9 million during that month.

  • Of the 79 deals, the deal secured between Ares Management Corp and RSK Group Ltd, was the largest Debt Offering deal in the Europe Business and Consumer Services sector, which was valued at $1,386.3 million and was completed on August 10, 2021. The second-largest deal was between ABN AMRO Bank NV; BBVA; Belfius Bank SA; BNP Paribas Fortis SA/NV; Commerzbank AG; Cooperatieve Rabobank UA; Credit Agricole Corporate and Investment Bank SA; DBS Bank Ltd; ING Belgium SA/NV; KBC Bank NV and DEME NV, while the third-largest deal was between BBVA and PreZero GmbH & Co. KG. The ABN AMRO Bank NV; BBVA; Belfius Bank SA; BNP Paribas Fortis SA/NV; Commerzbank AG; Cooperatieve Rabobank UA; Credit Agricole Corporate and Investment Bank SA; DBS Bank Ltd; ING Belgium SA/NV; KBC Bank NV-DEME NV deal and the BBVA-PreZero GmbH & Co. KG deal were valued at $663.0 million and $168.9 million, respectively. The fourth-largest deal was between AlleyCorp Enterprises, LLC; Cadence Growth Capital GmbH; Deutsche Telekom AG; Signals Venture Capital-Everphone GmbH valued at $135.0 million, whereas the deal between Nordic Investment Bank-Metso Outotec Corp valued at $112.7 million was the fifth-largest deal.

  • Cumulatively, the top five deals amounted to $2,465.9 million and accounted for nearly 3.83% of the total deals (by value) announced during the last twelve months. The Europe region accounted for 59.64% of the total Debt Offering deals done globally, and accounted for 2.19% of the total deal size on a global scale.
