Of the 19,944 deals, the deal secured between Brookfield Business Partners LP; Evergreen Coast Capital and Nielsen Holdings plc, was the largest Private Equity/Venture Financing deal in the Global Business and Consumer Services sector, which was valued at $16,000.0 million and was completed on March 29, 2022. The second-largest deal was between Apollo Global Management Inc; Cox Media Group Inc; Standard General L.P. and TEGNA Inc, while the third-largest deal was between Temasek Holdings (Private) Ltd and Element Materials Technology Group Holdings Ltd. The Apollo Global Management Inc; Cox Media Group Inc; Standard General L.P.-TEGNA Inc deal and the Temasek Holdings (Private) Ltd-Element Materials Technology Group Holdings Ltd deal were valued at $8,600.0 million and $7,000.0 million, respectively. The fourth-largest deal was between Brookfield Asset Management Inc-HomeServe Plc valued at $5,832.3 million, whereas the deal between Platinum Equity LLC-McGraw Hill Companies Ltd valued at $4,500.0 million was the fifth-largest deal.
Cumulatively, the top five deals amounted to $41,932.3 million and accounted for nearly 28.31% of the total deals (by value) announced during the last twelve months. By region, North America accounted for 51.19% of the total Private Equity/Venture Financing deals done globally, and recorded a total deal value of $74,045.4 million, which accounted for 44.57% of the total deal size on a global scale.
