The number of active ESG related job postings in the Global Environmental and Waste Management Services Sector increased by 9.02% MoM, and increased by 4.23% since October 2023, reaching 4,557 active job postings in January 2024
A total of 3,209 new ESG related jobs were posted in January 2024, witnessing an increase of 63.14% as compared to the previous month. On the other hand, 2,832 jobs were closed in the same month implying that companies took out 31.48% more jobs than the month earlier. For the period from October 2023 to January 2024, the number of new ESG related jobs posted increased by 47.47% and the number of ESG related jobs closed increased by 75.25%.
In terms of Compound Monthly Growth Rate (CMGR) between October 2023 and January 2024, the number of new ESG related jobs posted observed a growth rate of 13.82%, the number of active ESG related job postings observed a growth rate of 1.39% and the number of ESG related jobs closed observed a growth rate of 20.56%. Between October 2023 and January 2024, the average number of ESG related jobs posted stood at 2,360, number of ESG related jobs closed stood at 2,173 and number of active ESG related jobs stood at 4,369.
