The number of active job postings in the Global Business and Consumer Services Sector decreased by 2.11% MoM, and decreased by 10.33% since October 2023, reaching 207,833 active job postings in January 2024.
A total of 69,972 new jobs were posted in January 2024, witnessing a decrease of 6.75% as compared to the previous month. On the other hand, 74,458 jobs were closed in the same month implying that companies took out 20.14% fewer jobs than the month earlier. For the period from October 2023 to January 2024, the number of new jobs posted decreased by 22.63% and the number of jobs closed decreased by 22.14%
In terms of Compound Monthly Growth Rate (CMGR) between October 2023 and January 2024, the number of new jobs posted observed a negative growth rate of 8.2%, the number of active job postings observed a negative growth rate of 3.57% and the number of jobs closed observed a negative growth rate of 8%. Between October 2023 and January 2024, the average number of jobs posted stood at 84,062, number of jobs closed stood at 91,344 and number of active jobs stood at 220,611.
