Mexico: Job Trends in the Business and Consumer Services Sector (October 2023 - January 2024)

The number of active job postings in the Business and Consumer Services sector of Mexico increased by 2.05% MoM, and increased by 4.76% since October 2023, reaching 748 active job postings in January 2024.
A total of 218 new jobs were posted in January 2024, witnessing an increase of 8.46% as compared to the previous month. On the other hand, 203 jobs were closed in the same month implying that companies took out 15.42% fewer jobs than the month earlier. For the period from October 2023 to January 2024, the number of new jobs posted increased by 4.81% and the number of jobs closed decreased by 21.92%
In terms of Compound Monthly Growth Rate (CMGR) between October 2023 and January 2024, the number of new jobs posted observed a growth rate of 1.58%, the number of active job postings observed a growth rate of 1.56% and the number of jobs closed observed a negative growth rate of 7.92%. Between October 2023 and January 2024, the average number of jobs posted stood at 228, number of jobs closed stood at 232 and number of active jobs stood at 741.
