The number of active ESG related job postings driven by ESG in the Environmental and Waste Management Services sector of the North America region increased by 11.6% MoM, and increased by 3.69% since October 2023, reaching 3,175 active job postings in January 2024.
A total of 2,531 new ESG related jobs were posted in January 2024, witnessing an increase of 81.96% as compared to the previous month. On the other hand, 2,201 ESG related jobs were closed in the same month implying that companies took out 44.8% more jobs than the month earlier. For the period from October 2023 to January 2024, the number of new ESG related jobs posted increased by 66.51% and the number of ESG related jobs closed increased by 158.03%.
In terms of Compound Monthly Growth Rate (CMGR) between October 2023 and January 2024, the number of new ESG related jobs posted observed a growth rate of 18.53%, the number of active ESG related job postings observed a growth rate of 1.22% and the number of ESG related jobs closed observed a growth rate of 37.16%. Between October 2023 and January 2024, the average number of ESG related jobs posted stood at 1,691, the average number of ESG related jobs closed stood at 1,496 and the average number of active ESG related jobs stood at 3,014.
