The second-largest deal was between Apollo Global Management Inc; Cox Media Group Inc; Standard General L.P. and TEGNA Inc, while the third-largest deal was between Platinum Equity LLC and McGraw Hill Companies Ltd. The Apollo Global Management Inc; Cox Media Group Inc; Standard General L.P.-TEGNA Inc deal and the Platinum Equity LLC-McGraw Hill Companies Ltd deal were valued at $8,600.0 million and $4,500.0 million, respectively. The fourth-largest deal was between Lone Star Funds-SPX Flow Inc valued at $3,800.0 million, whereas the deal between Chatham Asset Management-Vericast Corp valued at $2,850.0 million was the fifth-largest deal.
Cumulatively, the top five deals amounted to $35,750.0 million and accounted for nearly 49.68% of the total deals (by value) announced during the last twelve months.
