The number of active ESG related job postings in the Business and Consumer Services sector of United States decreased by 0.7% MoM, and decreased by 28.27% since October 2023, reaching 29,311 active job postings in January 2024
A total of 12,488 new ESG related jobs were posted in January 2024, witnessing an increase of 6.85% as compared to the previous month. On the other hand, 12,696 ESG related jobs were closed in the same month implying that companies took out 26.68% fewer jobs than the month earlier. For the period from October 2023 to January 2024, the number of new ESG related jobs posted increased by 2.05% and the number of ESG related jobs closed decreased by 27.56%.
In terms of Compound Monthly Growth Rate (CMGR) between October 2023 and January 2024, the number of new ESG related jobs posted observed a growth rate of 0.68%, the number of active ESG related job postings observed a negative growth rate of 10.48% and the number of ESG related jobs closed observed a negative growth rate of 10.19%. Between October 2023 and January 2024, the average number of ESG related jobs posted stood at 13,990, number of ESG related jobs closed stood at 18,201 and number of active ESG related jobs stood at 33,710.
