The number of active job postings in the Chemicals sector of the Asia-Pacific region decreased by 23.25% MoM, and decreased by 32.25% since October 2023, reaching 7,105 active job postings in January 2024.
A total of 1,630 new jobs were posted in January 2024, witnessing a decrease of 45.61% as compared to the previous month. On the other hand, 3,782 jobs were closed in the same month implying that companies took out 21.45% more jobs than the month earlier. For the period from October 2023 to January 2024, the number of new jobs posted decreased by 50.5% and the number of jobs closed increased by 11.83%
In terms of Compound Monthly Growth Rate (CMGR) between October 2023 and January 2024, the number of new jobs posted observed a negative growth rate of 20.9%, the number of active job postings observed a negative growth rate of 12.17% and the number of jobs closed observed a growth rate of 3.8%. Between October 2023 and January 2024, the average number of jobs posted stood at 2,695, number of jobs closed stood at 3,563 and number of active jobs stood at 9,055.
