The number of active job postings in the Chemicals sector of United Kingdom decreased by 0.88% MoM, and decreased by 3.3% since October 2023, reaching 674 active job postings in January 2024.
A total of 253 new jobs were posted in January 2024, witnessing an increase of 16.59% as compared to the previous month. On the other hand, 259 jobs were closed in the same month implying that companies took out 31.47% more jobs than the month earlier. For the period from October 2023 to January 2024, the number of new jobs posted decreased by 19.68% and the number of jobs closed decreased by 30.38%
In terms of Compound Monthly Growth Rate (CMGR) between October 2023 and January 2024, the number of new jobs posted observed a negative growth rate of 7.05%, the number of active job postings observed a negative growth rate of 1.11% and the number of jobs closed observed a negative growth rate of 11.37%. Between October 2023 and January 2024, the average number of jobs posted stood at 261, number of jobs closed stood at 281 and number of active jobs stood at 677.
