The number of active job postings in the Construction sector of Brazil decreased by 2.92% MoM, and increased by 28% since October 2023, reaching 1,129 active job postings in January 2024.
A total of 687 new jobs were posted in January 2024, witnessing a decrease of 2.28% as compared to the previous month. On the other hand, 721 jobs were closed in the same month implying that companies took out 10.75% more jobs than the month earlier. For the period from October 2023 to January 2024, the number of new jobs posted increased by 6.18% and the number of jobs closed increased by 2.71%
In terms of Compound Monthly Growth Rate (CMGR) between October 2023 and January 2024, the number of new jobs posted observed a growth rate of 2.02%, the number of active job postings observed a growth rate of 8.58% and the number of jobs closed observed a growth rate of 0.89%. Between October 2023 and January 2024, the average number of jobs posted stood at 704, number of jobs closed stood at 656 and number of active jobs stood at 1,071.
