The number of active ESG related job postings in the Construction sector of Canada decreased by 21.93% MoM, and decreased by 0.41% since October 2023, reaching 3,664 active job postings in January 2024
A total of 1,702 new ESG related jobs were posted in January 2024, witnessing an increase of 10.45% as compared to the previous month. On the other hand, 2,731 ESG related jobs were closed in the same month implying that companies took out 63.73% more jobs than the month earlier. For the period from October 2023 to January 2024, the number of new ESG related jobs posted increased by 29.04% and the number of ESG related jobs closed increased by 195.24%.
In terms of Compound Monthly Growth Rate (CMGR) between October 2023 and January 2024, the number of new ESG related jobs posted observed a growth rate of 8.87%, the number of active ESG related job postings observed a negative growth rate of 0.14% and the number of ESG related jobs closed observed a growth rate of 43.46%. Between October 2023 and January 2024, the average number of ESG related jobs posted stood at 1,868, number of ESG related jobs closed stood at 1,773 and number of active ESG related jobs stood at 4,214.
