The number of active job postings in the Construction sector of China increased by 4.41% MoM, and increased by 20.97% since October 2023, reaching 12,647 active job postings in January 2024.
A total of 1,493 new jobs were posted in January 2024, witnessing a decrease of 42.75% as compared to the previous month. On the other hand, 959 jobs were closed in the same month implying that companies took out 11.12% fewer jobs than the month earlier. For the period from October 2023 to January 2024, the number of new jobs posted increased by 137.74% and the number of jobs closed increased by 10.1%
In terms of Compound Monthly Growth Rate (CMGR) between October 2023 and January 2024, the number of new jobs posted observed a growth rate of 33.46%, the number of active job postings observed a growth rate of 6.55% and the number of jobs closed observed a growth rate of 3.26%. Between October 2023 and January 2024, the average number of jobs posted stood at 1,386, number of jobs closed stood at 898 and number of active jobs stood at 11,449.
